Free stuff to do in Rutland, MA Rutland
Prison Camps in Rutland, Massachusetts is an abandoned prison that was open from 1903 – 1934. The grounds are open to the public and it’s free to visit.
Although the wooden structures are all gone, concrete buildings and foundations still stand. It takes some exploring, but it makes for a fun, family friendly adventure. NOTE: Some areas are open for hunting, fishing and trapping. Today was a hunting day and there were several hunters and dogs but they didn’t bother us.
